As the colder months approach, It's time to start thinking about getting those vehicles protected for the cold weeks and months ahead.

Contrary to peoples natural assumption, Its MORE important to keep your vehicle clean, and more importantly, protected over the winter months. With sudden drops in temperature, constant wet and damp conditions along with copious amounts of road salt and dirt on the roads.

A poorly or unprotected car will soon start to show the effects of all these elements. As with our own bodies and our skin, when its cold, we add more layers to protect ourselves. And its the same with our vehicles. If left, road salt can damage and etch delicate trims and chrome. It can also lead to corrosion over long periods. Likewise build ups of mud and dirt in wheel arches and other areas can accelerate corrosion by trapping moisture against your vehicle. It doesnt need to cost the earth to keep your vehicle clean over the winter months. But to rectify damage caused by etching and corrosion can be costly. Thats why at Valet Southeast there is a package to suit all budgets.

 

For 2019 /2020 there are 3 different packages to choose from. All offering a thorough clean of your vehicle with varying degrees of protection to help maintain your car through the cold winter months.

The packages detailed below are put together on the assumption that your vehicle is already in a fair condition and receives some sort of regular cleaning. Vehicles that are excessively dirty or require heavy cleaning will incur an additional charge which will be discussed with you before any work commences.

**PLEASE NOTE** :- Packages contain products that require a minimum working temperature in order to cure properly. Coatings must be kept dry for a minimum of 6-12 hours after application. Where possible it is recommended that adeqaute cover is provided. If the weather or temperature is not suitable then the work cannot be carried out.

Option 1 - Winter Maintenance

This Package is our entry package and will offer protection to your vehicles exterior surfaces. However, this package will not offer long durability and will need to be booked in for ongoing protection top ups throughout the winter months. Recommended intervals of no more than 4-6 weeks

• Wheels and arches rinsed using power washer to remove build ups of mud and grime

• Wheels & Arches thoroughly cleaned using PH Neutral shampoo and selection of brushes
  and wheel mitt. (heavily contaminated wheels such as baked on brake dust may require additional cleaning at extra cost)

• Vehicle exterior rinsed prior to the application of Citrus Pre wash to loosen dirt

• Pre Wash removed using power washer and vehicle covered in PH neutral snow foam for added lubrication during
  the washing phase.

• Vehicle exterior washed using quality wash mitt and 2 bucket method with grit guard

• Vehicle rinsed thoroughly

• Vehicle dried with quality soft microfibre drying towels & Quick detailer

• Wheels dried

• Coat of Wax applied to vehicle exterior by hand and left to haze before buffing off with soft microfibre towels

• Alloy wheel faces coated with single coat of high temperature wax to protect from road dirt and salt (where applicable)

• All exterior glass thoroughly cleaned

• Tyres dressed using quality tyre gel with UV protection.

• Chrome exhaust tips also coated with high temp wax (where applicable)

Option 2
 

This package offers a  greater level of protection to your vehicles exterior along with added durability of the applied coatings.

This package, if correctly maintained, should see your vehicle through to the spring where protection can be topped up if required.

• Wheels and arches rinsed using high pressure water to remove build up of mud and grime

• Wheels & Arches sprayed with dedicated non acidic cleaner and left to dwell

• Wheels and arches thoroughly cleaned with a selection of quality brushes and rinsed

• Vehicle exterior rinsed to remove loose dirt, dust & leaves before the application of a citrus pre wash to further loosen dirt

• Vehicle rinsed again and PH neutral snow foam applied & left to dwell.

• Vehicle exterior & door shuts cleaned using quality wash mitt & 2 bucket method with grit guard.

• Vehicle thoroughly rinsed

• Vehicle dried with quality soft microfibre drying towels

• Wheels dried

• Si02 Spray Sealant added to exterior paintwork and buffed

• Alloy wheel faces will receive 2 coats of high temp wax for added protection.

• All exterior glass coated with CarPro hydrophobic coating for semi permanent water repellency aiding visibility

• Chrome exhausts given 2 coats of high temp wax.

• Wiper blades cleaned and coated with CarPro Hydrophobic coating

Option 3

​

Offering the most durable products to ensure every aspect of your vehicles exterior is well protected. If maintained correctly using the correct products, this should see your vehicles protection lasting well in to the spring

• Wheels and arches rinsed using high pressure water to remove build up of mud and grime

• Wheels & Arches sprayed with dedicated non acidic cleaner and left to dwell

• Wheels and arches thoroughly cleaned with a selection of quality brushes and rinsed

• Iron fallout remover applied and left to dwell before aggitating to neutralise brake dust and ferrous
  particles before safely rinsing from the wheels

• Vehicle exterior thoroughly rinsed to remove loose dirt, dust & leaves 

• Citrus pre wash applied to vehicle exterior, fuel cap, door & boot shuts to further loosen dirt

• Vehicle rinsed again and PH neutral snow foam applied & left to dwell.

• Fuel cap, door and boot shuts cleaned using soft brushes

• Snow foam rinsed from vehicle and re applied to add lubrication for the washing phase

• Vehicle exterior cleaned using quality wash mitt & 2 bucket method with grit guard.

• Vehicle thoroughly rinsed

• Snow foam appied to vehicle exterior one more time and vehicle exterior paintwork and glass treated
  with clay bar to remove any bonded containants.

• Vehicle paintwork  sprayed with fallout remover to remove any metallic particles bonded to the vehicles surface

• Vehicle given final high pressure rinse

• Vehicle dried using large quality soft microfibre drying towels

• Wheels dried

• Exterior paintwork and wheels wiped down with CarPro Eraser to remove any oils and residue from the vehicles surface

• 2 coats of polymer sealant added to exterior paintwork and metal trims with curing time in between coats

• Sealant topped with a layer of quality wax to add additional protection

• Alloy wheel faces and chrome exhausts (If applicable) will receive 2 coats of G-Techniq C5 Wheel armor

• All exterior glass coated G-techniq hydrophobic glass coating for significant and long lasting water repellency

• Wiper blades cleaned and coated with G-techniq Hydrophobic coating

Prices based on vehicles that have light to moderate soiling. More heavily soiled cars will require more cleaning and incur additional charges.

*6-8 months protection on the assumption that the vehicle is maintained by myself. Durbility is affected by many factors including products and techniques used to clean the car. No guarantees are offered with regards to durability of coatings if the car is not maintained exclusively by Valet Southeast.
